I still have my little table I had as a little girl that I had my tea parties at. I don't know what happened to the chairs that went with it, or my tea party set. They probably broke.
Lovely tea set. Have a good weekend.
It's just beautiful!
What a GREAT Tea Set!!! Scones go great with tea!
What a beautiful tea set Beth. You should share it with Tea Time Tuesday at Sandi's blog Rose Chintz Cottage (on my sidebar). You can serve anything from cookies, cake, scones, biscuits or a dessert. I would love to join you for tea. I hope you have a great day! Hugs, Pamela
Tea parties are fun - even as an adult. You serve little things with the tea, like little cucumber sandwiches. Your tea set is so pretty and would be great in a red and white kitchen. You really should have a tea party!
i've had many tea parties, in my 54 years)...i LOVE tea with friends.
i make little tea sandwiches, tuna, chicken salad, egg salad, cream cheese with cucumber & dill, sandwiches like that, with the crusts cut off. i serve scones and tea breads and cookie bars for desert. it's nice if you have a tiered tray.
ooohhhhh and of course, serve a few varieties of tea!!
Tea parties are special times to enjoy with friends young & old. That is a beautiful tea-pot...I hope you are putting it to good use.
What a pretty tea set! I think you should serve cucumber and cream cheese on rye sandwiches (cut out with a cookie cutter, like my grandma used to do) and Walker shortbread. :-)
I love the black and white. I have the same pattern on a covered jug in my kitchen. So pretty in the whole set for tea.
What a lovely tea set...you gotta have a tea party. I love having tea parties and going to tea with my friends. You could have any or all of the above...but nobody mentioned Devonshire cream to go on top of the scones...gotta have it!!!
i've never had a real tea party, only the ones when i was a kid. every year when we'd go to disneyland, i'd have to get this sweet little teeny tiny tea set, loved those!
you set is beautiful!
it's a pretty set. i like the b&w.
Let me know what time the party is:)
Beth, yes! I attended a fun party at my sis in laws one day in the summer. It was a Berry theme: berry jam, berry teas and fresh berries topped with sugar. Man, I was on a sugar high that day!!! :D
I don't remember playing with tea sets when I was little, but I played a lot with my daughter when she was little!
I liked your tea pot.
oooo I have a thing for tea, tea sets and tea cups! With tea, there must be scones! mmm mmm
Love your tea set! I haven't had or been to a tea party for year. I guess around here it is coffee parties.
What a beautiful tea set, Beth. Remember playing with a miniature set when I was tiny, and I've a cupboardful of china I was given as wedding presents which I"ve hardly used! Must find an excuse for a proper tea party one day.
tea parties are always great fun! And the fine china, mismatched and all is perfect for the event...anytime, any day! here's a link to one of favorite teacups.

Beth, what a cool blog. First, I love your tea set, I love chickens, can you tell me who the maker of your tea set is and the name of it. Would love to add one like this to my collection. First, how many place settings do you have? That is how many friends or family you invite along with you. Scones of some kind, and a couple of different teas. Have fun.
What a beautiful teaset, Beth! You should join some of the online tea parties. They'd swoon over this set! I like tea and I like going to tearooms. I like to bake too, so if I were having a tea party I'd make some tiny sandwiches (cucumber, or chicken salad), some pecan tarts, scones...maybe add some fruit or a cold strawberry soup. Mmmmm. I have decided to follow.
xo Beth
Beautiful tea set. If you do decide to have that tea party I would love to come. Have not been to one since I was a little girl.
I love my tea! This is a very nice set you have Beth. And count me in for that 'tea party'. I'll bring along something good to dunk!!
Jim
Gorgeous tea set. So long since I've had a tea party. There would have to be earl grey tea and scones with jam and clotted cream, yum
