a must see movie.
we all know charlie sheen & no he's not in the movie. the more normal ones of the sheen family - his father martin sheen & his brother emilio estevez are in this great movie - for me i have always wanted to walked the appalachian trail. think it would a great learning experience. a chance to see who i am really inside. how tough, strong or determined i really am & can be, if i need to be. or had to be??! how tough & strong are you?

Beth, a girl after my own heart! Last winter, I was fixated on the Appalacian trail. I read every thing I could get my hands on. I, too, wanted to walk it. But the deeper I got into my reading the more I realized walking the whole thing was not an option for me. 1) it takes many months 2) I like regular showers and clean bathrooms 3) I don't like the idea of sharing camping sites with mice and rats 4) and lastly, but the most important.....there are snakes on that trail. I'm deathly afraid of them. Having said all that....I still would like to do some day hikes on different parts of it. If you want to read other's tales about their journey, go here...http://www.trailjournals.com/index.cfm.
this movie was seen thanks to Netflix. Enjoy Your Weekend!! ( :
That looks like a really great movie Beth. Did you know the Appalacian Trail goes right into my province of New Brunswick and Mount Carleton? I'd never hike it but it would be nice to see a movie about someone traveling it. So much history along the way.
Ahh, looks like a good one. Thanks for the recommendation!!
This movie is on my list! A friend of mine just did part of the "Jakobsweg" (that's how we call the pilgrimage to Santiago de Compostela in Germany) and she recommended this movie as well, saying it is very close to how that experience can be. I always wanted to do the Jakobsweg, but I have no idea whether it will ever happen.
Thanks, Beth.. We don't see many movies these days --but I'll keep this one in mind.
Hugs,
Betsy
I like both actors so I'll have to keep my eyes open for this one, Beth!...:)JP

This does look like a good one. I'll put it on my list. Thanks!
