more from St. Louis Cathedral, New Orleans, Louisiana














i am sharing even more views from the inside. just breathtaking, don't ya think? 

i was raised Methodist - which the inside of that church was very understated compared to this - a beautiful cathedral & it is to the nines. so many details.

Yes, it is gorgeous. The few churches like this that I have been in generate such a sense of gravity and peace. I love seeing these magnificent architectural designs. Have a blessed Lord's Day.

Lovely, Beth :) I always think of the artisans of yesteryear, who were often part of the worship community: building this beautiful place was a part of their Faith, offering their God-given talents for His Glory :)

It is breathtaking! I love the ceiling. I would love to visit there. I was raised Methodist, too, and no, we didn't have a church like that either. :-)

I visited New Orleans last summer with some friends and we spent so much time here just gawking at the beautiful details! It really is a special place.

I've been there a few times. Always a favorite when we are in NO. But then again, NO itself is a pretty big favorite!
