Stanton Hall, Natchez, Mississippi

must see plantation home when in Natchez Mississippi. check out "Stanton Hall". these southerners take their old homes seriously ...no photos inside the home, wipes your feet, they love dressing up in them old fashion attire, & drinking lemonade or a mint julep on the veranda. i could live in one of these old homes. couldn't you?!! be sure to check back in again tomorrow for another plantation.

A fabulous place to shoot. I like the fence shots in this series too. A lifestyle here would be so different.

I love the big old plantation homes and yes, I could live in one. That's a fantastic fence, too.

Being a Californian, we don't see many homes in the style of the gorgeous plantation homes.

I love the grillwork on the fence.

I've always wanted to visit Old Plantation homes every since I got hooked on Gone With The Wind. They seem so grand and elegant. Lucky you for getting to visit some of them. Too bad they didn't allow inside photos.

They would be quite a treat to visit! Even the gates and fence of Stanton Hall are impressive.

What a beautiful place, Beth! Perhaps you are familiar with blogger Christine who lives in that area. I always think of Charleston, SC when I hear the word "plantation."
