Wow great shots I would imagine military school would give you a very good education where with the discipline they require would help you achieve the grades and I imagine the friendships you develop would last. Hug B

The grounds are pretty in that 4th photo. There used to be a military school not far from us. It's sad to see most of the old buildings sitting empty now. I think they are going to restore them at some point, I sure hope so, but it won't be a military school any longer. I remember when I was a teen and wished I knew someone who attended so I could go to the Military Ball they had every year. :)

I grew up not too far from Culver Military Academy in Indiana. It, too, had a wonderful reputation.

My father went to military college in his teens then he went to war during WWI. He also served in WWII but didn't have a military career. He got his civil engineering degree between the wars and that was his career.

I have not been to one. The architectural style reminds me of another school I've seen.

A fine series of these buildings. No one was in sight so it must have been during a vacation time or in the middle of class time.

I've never been to military school but I was in ROTC in junior high. Does that count? :)

Love the architecture!

I often threatened to send my eldest to military school. Neat photos. Your watermark placement makes it look like you own those buildings. :)

I think sometimes they can be really good experiences. It depends on the person, I feel. Nice photos.

Perhaps I'll be the first to answer YES! And as an added bonus, this is the one that I attended for all four years of high school.

It was an experience that you cannot get in public schools, and I still thank my parents often for giving me that opportunity (even though I wasn't too fond of it back then). I would not be where I am today if I had not attended Fishburne Military School.
