Cave Mountain Lake, Virginia

1st off - has any one noticed lately that there are a lot more "No-Reply Commentors" on your blog? i have. it seems weird to me? wonder what is going on with that, google maybe having issues or??!

"Cave Mountain Lake", Virginia is a gorgeous area. they do have a campground. we did not stay. just checked it out for future notices in case we are in the area & wished to stay there in the future ...they have a beach, picnic area & hiking trails. i am only guessing but have you ever noticed that a great deal of these places were made by the "Civilian Conservation Corps", smart men. they last & are just amazing quality.

a nice getaway for sure. Beth ( :

After yesterday's freezing cold temperatures, I'd be tempted to light a fire in that fireplace.

Very pretty place. Betsy's blog had bridges built by CCC today! You get to visit such scenic places; thanks for sharing with us. Happy Thanksgiving with love, me
I'd love to see the James River in person. So much Civil War history there. The cabin looks like one along the Blue Ridge Parkway. Hey, love your new profile pic. Is it new or did I finally notice it??

neat looking place. :)

if folks use the google+ i.d. for their blog, google won't allow their email to be used and it goes to 'no-reply' crap. apparently they want you to use google+ to correspond. not gonna happen for me. :)

I liked the trails which looked so inviting for walkers. The CCC work does always seem to be very well done and has lasted many years.

That does look like a wonderful place to camp. We have a state park near us built by the CCC -- the buildings and bridges are beautiful.

The area does look quite inviting.

I have noticed the odd person whose profile is set so private that I'll never find out if they blog themselves.

Lake Erie State Park, Brocton, NY. 14716 (716)792-9214, this state park had a gorgeous view of the water, such a gorgeous view. great for sunsets. they had recently had a lot of rain, so you could not ride or walk all of the grassy areas do to lots of standing water. it was a state park that we used as a central location to run to several spots, we stayed 2 evenings. that sunset show there was a view we did enjoy from the back of our campsite, so awesome to sit in your chair, enjoy the birds, critters, and the view. wowza was it awesome!!! i think that is the one i did use on my FB page too??! yes, i did, just checked. have a great day. i appreciate your comments. see ya again real soon. Kayaking it

We really lucked out to go kayaking on this trip while we were staying at Davy Crockett State Park, TN. So you know ... I have yet to fall out of my kayak .... KNOCK ON WOOD ... knock on your head ...whatever!! My hubby this kayaking trip slipped once going into this kayak right off the bat and then the kayaking completely flipped over ...it was a real COLD adventure ...fun but so so cold. & our camping friends ...who don't go kayaking often were wanting to help the hubby but I had it under control ...I had water come up and over the kayak ... I am guessing that would be a good reason to have a skirt on your kayak. Wonder if I could do that on my kind of kayak? Not sure ...but it was so so cold. We made it back all in one piece.
Thank you for stopping by today. Hope you did enjoy your visit. Thank you for your comments and friendship. ENJOY YOUR DAY!! Be Well & Be Blessed!! Beth ( :

Just a hop, skip and a jump away from the campsites ...u get this beachfront view, so peaceful. I really enjoy beach walking, it is like you can hear yourself thinking, u can shake out all the silliness and just be YOU! Hey, God it's me Beth (he's showing off you know, I think he does that 'cause he know I have my camera, was that not nice of him? so cool!!) ...I'm 40 any time you wanna slap, ((I know you don't believe in violence, but sometimes it is needed when we are completely not listening or just missing the point??!)) me across the face and tell me what the heck to do, I am ready??! I am able and willing? You are probably super busy, dealing with other silliness going on. I am probably doing okay ... compared to others. I get it ... I'll keep my ears open. Promise!
