Minnehaha Falls Park, Minneapolis, Minnesota

i have heard of Minnehaha Falls Park, for years, and after laughing at the name, i finally got the chance to see it in person. look at that water fall ... so powerful. it was so loud.

there is a gorgeous park there surrounding the waterfall. you might even miss the waterfall, if you are not from the area. we did ask a lady are we headed in the right direction? yep, a bit farther.

lots of lovely flowers & views. we were on a time schedule we had paid for parking so only like a few moments before our time ran out. so it was a quick run to the fall & back to the vehicle. when you are on a schedule you do what you gotta do. Beth ( :

I've heard of the name but didn't know there was a real place to go with it. Just thought it was some sort of joke.

That is a beauty of a waterfall!
Dear Friend, Just stopping by to say HI. Hope you are having a good December so far. This will be a very different kind of Christmas for George and me this year. But—all in all, we are both enjoying being together and sharing our love with each other. What more can we ask for!!!!

Other than a post today, I won't be blogging much until I start feeling better and get this knee/leg taken care of... I will try to at least read your posts (even if I don't comment)... I will however be posting off and on on Facebook (since it's so simple) if you want to check there when possible.

Did you know that there is a Minnehaha Falls in GEORGIA??? I've seen it!!!! Crazy, huh?
Hugs,
Betsy

What a beautiful waterfall! I've heard of it before, and I might have been there- we passed through Minnesota on one of our trips out west when I was a child.

That is a beautiful waterfall and I'm glad you got to see it!
To answer your question about Stormy, yep, she was rescued one stormy night by my hubby and he brought her home. So we just decided to call her Stormy! :)
So here you are, in my neck of the woods again! Minnehaha Falls is pretty, isn't it. Minnesota and Wisconsin are both beautiful, especially in the summertime with our combined number of lakes being somewhat over 25,000. I guess you could say we're the Lake District of the United States (Well, except for the Great Lakes, of course). Have a lovely Tuesday.
