Bayshore Lakeside Chophouse






we had dinner 2 nights in a row at the "Bayshore Lakeside Chophouse". yummy food and drinks. these shots are from our 1st dinner there. the hubby is a pina colada fan, me i am a mint, lime, pomegranate mojito. just delicious!! i must admit that i don't drink alot. just on special occasions. i enjoy a good Boone's Farm (Fuzzy Navel or Strawberry Daiquiri.) every once in a while. but it is not the norm. we do not like beer or wine. Virginia is a real wine state. lately we have noticed the hard cider and local beers have become the famous thing folks are getting into. we did try these drinks thanks to the waitresses suggestion. & boy am i glad i went with the mojito because it was just delicious!! very good.

the view was to die for. so lovely. we sat on the back porch. enjoyed the mountain view. we talked with several locals on what to see while in the area. must sees. don't leave before you stop at kind of places. we did walked to and from our Waterton Lakes campground. great exercise and fun to just breathe and enjoy this spectacular view. our visit happened late August 2014. "Bar U Ranch" , National Historic Site. Established in 1882, it was huge ranching operation  "even more info here." .  if you know anything about me, you will know I have always wanted to live on a farm, own a farm, have horses, cows, dogs, cats, garden, fields, quiet & peace the whole 9 or is it 10 yards.   Backbone Rock Tunnel, Shady Valley, Tennessee "spur ridge on Holston Mtn that abruptly ends at a bend in Beaverdam Creek. tunnel was drilled through rock in 1901 to allow railroad access between Shady Valley and Damascus, Virginia" Hey There, don't ya love it when you are driving along and find a neat spot? …this tunnel was a busier road, got to see it from both sides of the road ...very cool.
