eagle at the international boundary

what a find interesting about the Canada and the United States there are borders that are well trimmed. up and over those mtns. now that would be a real workout. international boundary. i bet if you were hiking you might get stopped? you think?!!

at the boat stop if you wanted to go hiking ...you would need to show your passport to get back into the United States.

i would like to say considering it is my blog that is a United States eagle. but it just might be a duel citizen. like i wish i was. need to look into that. hey pretty birdie you sure are lovely, are you looking for a fish? or just chillin' the day away? so jealous of his location. very nice. we were visiting this area late August 2014. It looks like there is no one at the marker to check your passport. Don't you just love the eagles? This one has such a great spot to chill out. I think he probably does have dual citizenship, Beth. We are going to Maine this summer for some vacation time, and someone reminded me the other day to take our passports, just in case we wanted to go into Canada. Duh, didn't think of that!

That international border is quite interesting.I live close to the border,on the Canada side,so I say that the Eagle has dual citizenship.

On the north side of the border, the eagle likes to have his fish with a side bowl of maple syrup. Beautiful shots!
I'd love to take my parents to Canada this summer...God willing and the creek don't rise.
beautiful photos!

haha dual citizenship :D too funny...where we lived in missouri, we saw lots of eagles...on the other side of the road from us was a river and they liked to hang out in the trees there...you'd see several at a time...pretty incredible!

So, if you'd like to share this link....feel free to stop by after NOON today and add it for all the other avid birders to view.

Briery Creek Lake, Farmville, Virginia

Taking a break from our trips, to talk about a recent kayaking trip. We have had so much rain here in Virginia in the month of May. It has been so green. The funny thing is how the weather folks keep saying we are in a drought??! WHAT??! So on Monday May 9th, we took a day trip to "Briery Creek Lake", Farmville, VA. At this area there was a sign about "Trophy Largemouth Bass", so if you are fan, you might wanna check out. We are not fisherpeople, just love the kayaking experience. It was a gorgeous day! I was trying to get the picture of the osprey, the water was thinking otherwise, but I did ok... in the video below you will hear birdies, I did try to capture the osprey, but the silly bird stopped singing, it was such an interesting sound. chirp? tweet? Why does nature not working me with me, please?

Please enjoy this vlog of that day. Thanks, for stopping by, hope you enjoy the trip. Beth ( ;

Sculptures at Hershey Gardens

Such amazing sculptures there at "Hershey Gardens" ... let's check them out. As I say there are so many areas to walk around there at the gardens ...gorgeous trees to stand under if you are dealing with lots of sun. Great shades. Herb gardens, a perfect place for great visit no matter the season. So fun!! I think my favorite will be the butterfly girl ...she just looks so happy and free. 2nd fave is the girl smelling the rose. Thank you for stopping by. Hope you are well today. Take care. Riverbend Campground, Hiawassee, GA

"Riverbend Campground, Hiawassee, GA", this was our 1st visit. Such a well cared for, gorgeous locations for camping and have a ton of fun... this is one of the best campgrounds we have ever stayed in ...Beth how can you say this you might ask? ...the bathrooms were well cared for, gorgeous views, pretty easy access to water for water exercise, kayaking, areas for group togetherness and locations to walk and just time to relax. Even close to many locations of MUST SEE SIGHTS, waterfalls, hiking and suchness. We were there for "Eggs on the Hiawassee" one of our Casita rallies. SO FUN!!

Please enjoy the vlog from that day. You can hear lots of bugs and birds. We just hopped into the waters behind our campsite and just rowed away. We have 2 other couples who did borrow our kayaks to enjoy these waters as well. So fun. I love going out on waters to enjoy the day and take some pics. There are duck families every where, but they didn't like it when you got close ...s…
