view from the Prince of Wales Hotel, Canada




the view is amazing. the winds are wild and crazy. you have to be firm footed or you will surely blow away. it is wild. the windows were blowing like crazy through our lunch. 

the folks we chatted with said the hotel is rumored to be haunted. we never saw any clues to that fact, but it is a great story to hear. ghosts and all.

hope you can see the arrow in the 3 shot, that is about where the campground is, a nice little hike. a great area for walking, biking and getting around with the greatest of ease.

What a beautiful setting for a hotel. I know there's a ghost story attached to another one of those grand hotels in the Canadian Rockies.

"Bar U Ranch" , National Historic Site.   Backbone Rock Tunnel, Shady Valley, Tennessee "spur ridge on Holston Mtn that abruptly ends at a bend in Beaverdam Creek. tunnel was drilled through rock in 1901 to allow railroad access between Shady Valley and Damascus, Virginia" Hey There, don't ya love it when you are driving along and find a neat spot? …this tunnel was a busier road, got to see it from both sides of the road ...very cool.
