Blue Mtn. Brewery, Virginia






Hey there friends, thank you for stopping on by. Glad to have ya here. 

Last Monday 3/16/2014 ...the hubby had the day off from work so we took a country drive in his 1970 Boss Mustang, it was a gorgeous day. A bit windy. We took a suggestion from my Dad to check out the "Blue Mountain Brewery & Restaurant". As you can see the meal we had was so tasty. We got salads (hubby got a veggie salad, I got a Caesar salad with extra tasty croutons!!!) and a white pesto veggie pizza. Just delicious!! We even took some leftovers home. They do have brewery tours on Saturday if you are beer fan. This area of Virginia is just gorgeous. Gorgeous mountain views. The Blue Ridge Parkway. The Skyline Drive. Hiking, Biking, Camping and just enjoying the outdoors. Several wineries, breweries and even a new found love for some hard cider. are you a fan? Beth ( :

Beth, looks like a great way to spend a day off, just driving out through the countryside. We love doing just that. The food looks really tasty. Not a beer drinker, but would have liked the wine tasting.

We'll have to put this place on our 'visit' list for the next time we get back to that part of Virginia. We're not beer fans, but the meal looks delicious.

Everything along Nelson 151 is wonderful, But Blue Mountain is a Fav of mine. The food at Wild Wolf is pretty amazing too.
Bet that mustang got lots of attention!

your meal looks good...when we were in nelson county we noticed tons of breweries! we have a newish one that opened real close to our house called the flying squirrel...i've shown them on my blog before...in fact, we were just there on saturday! their only downfall though is they don't serve food.

"Bar U Ranch" , National Historic Site.   Backbone Rock Tunnel, Shady Valley, Tennessee "spur ridge on Holston Mtn that abruptly ends at a bend in Beaverdam Creek. tunnel was drilled through rock in 1901 to allow railroad access between Shady Valley and Damascus, Virginia" Hey There, don't ya love it when you are driving along and find a neat spot? …this tunnel was a busier road, got to see it from both sides of the road ...very cool.
