Carvins Cove Natural Reserve, Roanoke, Virginia






"Carvins Cove Natural Reserve, Roanoke, Virginia". It was a pretty windy day. overcast, a bit of sun, with thundering in the far off-ness. Thankfully it never showed up to rush us off. I feel my muscles aching just thinking about this trip. It was some awesome exercise. We took this trip on Monday June 8th, the hubby's day off. Such fun!! Hope you had a blast going with us.

Beth, we saw lots of Kayaks in the water when we were in Maine, and it looks like a really peaceful way to get around. Beautiful shots in your video.

I have not visited in a while so just looked at the photos in your last posts and enjoyed seeing the beautiful scenery, flowers, and this amazing ruts from the wagons traveling west in the past.   Backbone Rock Tunnel, Shady Valley, Tennessee "spur ridge on Holston Mtn that abruptly ends at a bend in Beaverdam Creek. tunnel was drilled through rock in 1901 to allow railroad access between Shady Valley and Damascus, Virginia" Hey There, don't ya love it when you are driving along and find a neat spot? …this tunnel was a busier road, got to see it from both sides of the road ...very cool.
