Antique Archaeology, LeClaire, Iowa

"Antique Archaeology, LeClaire, Iowa". "American Pickers" on the History channel with Mike Wolfe, Frank Fritz, & Danielle Colby. My fave was always Danielle, love all her tats & her silly fun attitude.

The hubby & I when we had cable would always catch the show, now that the cable is not around any more, only rabbit ears here folks, we have the chance to see any episodes we missed thanks to Netflix.

The saddest part of going to see this place, was that fact that none of the people from the show we around to say hey or whatnot, 2nd that what they show you on the tv episode is not what you will see when you visit their place of business there in Iowa, nope ... sorry folks it is all for show. not real. WHAT??!!!? We recently when to their Nashville, Tennessee location & it was so much more huge of a building, way more people visiting too, I will be sharing that soon. Beth ( :

Not aware of the TV programme, but it certainly looks like an intriguing place; one to linger in.
What a shame it wasn't what you expected. It still looks like an interesting place. xx

That is one of my husband's favorite shows. We have The Canadian Pickers here in Canada. One of the fellows from that show came into the gallery while my husband was hosting. He was thrilled. Looks like a fun place to visit. Love that car!

That old car is pretty cool. I don't get to see those shows as we only have 3 channels on an antenna but may have a look at Netflix sometime. Have a super weekend Beth.

Isn't it a shock to find out how much of TV is illusion?

I suppose that is the way of a lot of what we see on most of the shows. Reality shows are anything but reality, it seems. That must have been disappointing, Beth. I watch that show occasionally and have enjoyed it when I did, for the most part, but that is a bit of a let-down.

I like that show! But the popularity quickly makes the business grow and get crowded. I've heard that the store for Pawn Stars has long lines waiting to get in.

I've wanted to stop at either store and hope to someday. I think it's just cool to just visit and maybe find something to take home.

Too bad you could not meet any of them...but guess they were out picking...

We watch that show all the time. That's a bummer that the store isn't like what they show on television and that you didn't get to meet any of them.
