Ricketts Glen State Park, Pennsylvania


If you know anything about my hubby I would be that wherever we go we ALWAYS, always get a water front campsite. If you don't have water, a water view, it will be a mountain view, some kind of view that is ultra great view to him. Well, he booked this campsite at "Ricketts Glen State Park, PA" on the thought that there would be water. WHERE IS THE WATER? Guess what Ricketts Glen was doing well we had our over night visit? They waited just when we were there to work on their old dam. lucky us? huh? yep. boo hoo. sad face. ; ( maybe when you make your visit there the water will be back. maybe??! Awwww that is disappointing ......I adore the ocean and living so close to the shore. Also, we live on a river so I see the water view, every single day and I love it!!

This happened to us one year when we went to Douthat for a weekend. The lake was empty and all mud. Of course I had to go mucking out in it and fell flat on my face. I was the laughing stock of the family. Kiddo...I would be glad to knit you a bobble hat. It would be hilarious. I have made myself a couple of them and love to wear them. They are always talking pieces. Send me the circumference of your head.

We were in Pennsylvania last weekend. Passed over a lake on US 40 where the water level was very low. I think this is the time of year that is good for draining a lake because most of the vacationers have gone home.

"Bar U Ranch" , National Historic Site.   Backbone Rock Tunnel, Shady Valley, Tennessee "spur ridge on Holston Mtn that abruptly ends at a bend in Beaverdam Creek. tunnel was drilled through rock in 1901 to allow railroad access between Shady Valley and Damascus, Virginia" Hey There, don't ya love it when you are driving along and find a neat spot? …this tunnel was a busier road, got to see it from both sides of the road ...very cool.
