Metamora, Indiana

The day we stopped by the "Duck Creek Aqueduct", Metamora, Indiana, the shops were closed (it was a Sunday, hey you do what what ya gotta do when traveling, Sunday's happen & you have to make due.) We did have fun checking out the views. Be sure to click the pics to enlarge them to read those signs. Such amazing info. "Metamora Grist & Roller Mill" built in 1845 - rebuilt in 1900. & how often do you see an aqueduct? Metamora is such a cool area. Beth ( ;

Hello Beth, I enjoyed this post on your visit to the Duck Creek Aqueduct. Sorry the shops were closed, at least you were able to view the canal boat, buildings and the canal. Great series of photos. Happy Monday, enjoy your week.

Merry Christmas to you and your family.

Kayaking it

We really lucked out to go kayaking on this trip while we were staying at Davy Crockett State Park, TN. So you know ... I have yet to fall out of my kayak .... KNOCK ON WOOD ... knock on your head ...whatever!! My hubby this kayaking trip slipped once going into this kayak right off the bat and then the kayaking completely flipped over ...it was a real COLD adventure ...fun but so so cold. & our camping friends ...who don't go kayaking often were wanting to help the hubby but I had it under control ...I had water come up and over the kayak ... I am guessing that would be a good reason to have a skirt on your kayak. Wonder if I could do that on my kind of kayak? Not sure ...but it was so so cold. We made it back all in one piece.
Thank you for stopping by today. Hope you did enjoy your visit. Thank you for your comments and friendship. ENJOY YOUR DAY!! Be Well & Be Blessed!! Beth ( :
