Paint Creek State Park, Bainbridge, Ohio

If you are in Bainbridge Ohio... you should check out "Paint Creek State Park". We loved all the walking, the water views & boy did we wish we had our kayaks. There is just not enough room to take them when we go on long trips. Well that is different now that we have a "Casita". At the time when we took this trip we were driving our "Roadtrek 170 Popular", that's sold now. So here's hoping when we are back in Ohio we will go to this state park again for a real water kayakin' experience. Here's hoping. This was the view from our camping spot, right near the water, the hubby's fave. Beth ( :

Hello Berth, pretty views of the park and lake. The Casita looks like a nice way to travel. Did the Roadtrek use a lot of gasoline? Great photos. Happy Monday, enjoy your new week!

Looks like a wonderful place to camp. Love the sunset (?) in the last photo. We had a great time with our canoes this summer, and a few family members tried out kayaks. For some, it was a pretty exciting experience...way too many capsizes in kayaks and canoes! Fortunately I stayed in a canoe with my brother on every trip, and he has an awesome sense of balance. I am very thankful we never capsized! Swimming on a canoe trip is not my idea of fun!

Point Lookout State Park, Maryland & area lighthouses

Where we stayed: Point Lookout State Park, Maryland

Fort Lincoln, located within Point Lookout State Park. The only original part that is still at the location is the white barrier wall, all buildings are new, I guess the weather and winds are rough on fort.

Here is a vlog from that day of the sunset view from the state park & a coastline view from Fort Lincoln. I can so see why the fort was so in needs of repair, the winds there are so violent.

I will say that Maryland has pretty tough lighthouses to get to up close, usually you can get better shots, instead of through fences and all that jazz, but at least you can sort of see them? RIGHT??! Thanks for stopping by today. Hope you are well. Enjoy these views. Plan a trip soon, such a gorgeous area of Maryland. Beth  ( :

Grayson Highlands State Park & VA Creep Trail, Virginia

I was going to do 2 separate posts for this camping trip but it was only very quick weekend trip back in July of this year. Enjoy the vlogs from that day. We had a ball, such a great trip!!
1st part was our hike on Wilburn Ridge. 2nd day was our bike trip on the VA Creeper Trail. I think one of the most uncomfortable parts of the trip is riding in a huge van with people you have not a clue who they are... you just know that you are going to all be riding the trail. They van you up the mtn & you bike back to Damascus, VA. It is a 17 mile bike trip. Very easy. Not too much work at all.
One of our favorite state parks to camp at in VA is "Grayson Highlands State Park". We love this area 'cause you have the opportunity to bike the "Virginia Creeper Trail". Yes, we did make another hike adventure to "Wilburn Ridge". If you click each those names it will take you to our previous trip back in 2015. We took this trip in July of this year. What we love ab…
