Little Pee Dee State Park, South Carolina

Happy Labor Day!! I always wonder about this thing called Labor Day, who decided to call it that? Was everyone in labor or what? Here's what google thinks: "A public holiday or day of festivities held in honor of working people, in the US & Canada on the 1st Monday in Sept. in many other countries on May 1st".

"Little Pee Dee State Park", Dillon, South Carolina. I think this was one of the most friendliest state parks, meaning the camp hosts actually stopped by, asked us where we were from, how long we were staying & just really went out of their way to make use feel welcome and thanked us for stopping by.

I don't ever recall visiting a state park that has ever had dirt roads & I do wonder what they would be like on a rainy day? I bet they would a muddy mess. My Dad had to tell me that my 3 great aunts used to visit this state park when he was younger Mat, Meta & Min were there names. I only knew Meta, who made it till her 99 bday... sadly she past the day before 100th birthday, but still got a birthday card from the President at that time. Now who was that President? Wow, my memory is not serving me ...I was in middle school...

Enjoy the vlog from that day. Thank you for stopping by. Have a great day! Beth ( :

Beautiful pictures. It sounds good to have park hosts who take their job seriously and care about the people. That alone would make me want to go back there. The scenery is a good draw back as well.
