Yates Mill County Park, North Carolina

"Yates Mill County Park", Raleigh, North Carolina. 174 acres park. Lots of hiking trails. Misty day. What we were guessing was an engagement photos as well as a family portrait time happened while we were visiting this mill. The engagement photo would be in the upper left of photo #1 and lower right of the same photo would be the family portrait. Beth just really wanted a shot of the mill, excuse me folks, could you please move?? Nope, they were totally in their own worlds, not realizing that others wanted shots of the mill without them in them. Some folks are clueless. Sorry, I am not trying to be a booger, but when I take photos, I jump in ... take some shots, rapid fired off real quick and then I get the heck out way. Other people these days just don't seem that kind? Why is that??!!

Thank you kindly for stopping by, I appreciate you time. Have a great day!  Beth ( ;

Believe me, I've photoshopped my fair share of people out of pictures because they just wouldn't move. Sure is a cool mill though.

This place looks like a great place to spend some time. I adore old buildings and old mill houses, in particular. Your pictures are beautiful. The one with the reflection of the mill in the pond is wonderful and the water is as smooth as a mirror! I haven't done much blogging lately and I'm glad I caught this great post today!

Dells Mill, Augusta, Wisconsin

"Dells Mill", in Augusta, Wisconsin ...was a huge learning experience. Gus Clark, the museum guide was so great.

i just went to the website, to share the link with you guys and i see that Gus did pass away. i am trying to check my notes to see when we were there. we were trying to recall the day. my parents anniversary is August 24th. apparently the day he past away. (he was telling us that he did have some health issues, no details, but i thought he looked ok?) he was so cool. he was very descriptive and so fun to listen too. the mill had been in his family for years. he was just like a real history book. such a loss. (i just checked my notes we were there Thurs. 8/21) i hope he knew we enjoyed our visit. we told him so. thanked him for his time & explained we love seeing the odd, the different & the usual places throughout the US.

mills are becoming far and few. sad but true. ) :

Biltmore, Asheville, North Carolina

This was my 2nd trip to the "Biltmore" Estates. Last visit was in November (not sure of the year?, but I was not blogging at the time.) Photos are only allowed outside the home. NEVER INSIDE. Which I was hoping they would allow photos of the Downton Abbey clothing but nope. no go. Not sure how other folks who have shown pics on their blog of the outfits have gotten past those rules???!
The positive is my Mom & I have lots of great fun memories. We went as an early birthday present for me thanks to my hubby & my parents. So sweet! Mom & I had a fun girls times together. I knew the Downton Abbey clothing would be there until May 25th, 2 days after my birthday... so I wanted to go before they left & my Mom is a super Downton Abbey fan ...it was a must see for the both of us. So so fun!!!
What I love about this home, you drive into that gatehouse at the top & then suddenly you lose all the traffic, the city sounds & noise ...you drive through the farm …

Freshwater Fishing Hall of Fame, Hayward, Wisconsin

"Freshwater Fishing Hall of Fame", Hayward, Wisconsin. i am not a fisherwoman, but i have always been amazed by folks who do fish. all the hard work you do to make those stats. i must say i would prefer to see all these fish in the sea. not on the wall like this ...but what can you do? have you ever seen any of these fish alive before? this salmon above is so cool!!

did i mention that the hubby had a speed boat when we 1st started dating. it was awesome. but i always thought it needed to go FASTER. i love a fast boat. then the goober sold the thing. i miss it big time. he got rid of it because we didn't use it enough. kind of hard when you don't live near any BIG bodys of water. guess we need to move. he loved all the boat motors at this place. i now own a huge SD card of boat motors, what??! yep, i do. any one else in the world who can say that, can YOU say the same thing???!!!??!!!!

do you love to fish? Beth ( :
