Grayson Highlands State Park & VA Creep Trail, Virginia

I was going to do 2 separate posts for this camping trip but it was only very quick weekend trip back in July of this year. Enjoy the vlogs from that day. We had a ball, such a great trip!!

1st part was our hike on Wilburn Ridge. 2nd day was our bike trip on the VA Creeper Trail. I think one of the most uncomfortable parts of the trip is riding in a huge van with people you have not a clue who they are... you just know that you are going to all be riding the trail. They van you up the mtn & you bike back to Damascus, VA. It is a 17 mile bike trip. Very easy. Not too much work at all.

One of our favorite state parks to camp at in VA is "Grayson Highlands State Park". We love this area 'cause you have the opportunity to bike the "Virginia Creeper Trail". Yes, we did make another hike adventure to "Wilburn Ridge". If you click each those names it will take you to our previous trip back in 2015. We took this trip in July of this year. What we love about Grayson Highlands is the fact that the weather there is so different from where we live. The elevation is so different... one of the reasons why you have to really be concerned with the changing weather chances. One minute it is clear and sunny ... next a thunderstorm is a brewin' & you will need to take cover asap!!!

Gotta talk about a few of the shots ... the little colt ...not died just taking a nap. So cute. Yes, I am 38 this year. Shocking ...not happy about it, but I am wearing it proud. LOL!!

Thank you for stopping by today I hope you had a blast here. See you again real soon. Big Big hugs! Beth ( :

The Loveless Cafe, Nashville, Tennessee

"Fried chicken and biscuits have been a part of Loveless Cafe’s history for more than sixty years. In 1951, Lon and Annie Loveless began serving them out the front door of their home to travelers who passed by on US Highway 100, the then primary route between Nashville and Memphis, Tennessee." (for more info about the cafe "see here".

"The Loveless Cafe", (615)-646-9700, 8400 Hwy 100 Nashville, Tennessee. We are 40 feet from the tip of our F150 Ford pick up truck to the end of our Casita travel trailer ... so getting in there took some work, you can be long but side to side you better not be too wide ...they got it packed in there folks. There is a big back parking lot but still, Watch yourself!! The wait to get into the restaurant was like almost a 2 hour wait, Beth doesn't wait for food. HELL NO! We got it to go and it was quicker than you would have wait if you waited in the restaurant, just saying!! We got not sure of the proper name, it was chicke…

Briery Creek Lake, Farmville, Virginia

Taking a break from our trips, to talk about a recent kayaking trip. We have had so much rain here in Virginia in the month of May. It has been so green. The funny thing is how the weather folks keep saying we are in a drought??! WHAT??! So on Monday May 9th, we took a day trip to "Briery Creek Lake", Farmville, VA. At this area there was a sign about "Trophy Largemouth Bass", so if you are fan, you might wanna check out. We are not fisherpeople, just love the kayaking experience. It was a gorgeous day! I was trying to get the picture of the osprey, the water was thinking otherwise, but I did ok... in the video below you will hear birdies, I did try to capture the osprey, but the silly bird stopped singing, it was such an interesting sound. chirp? tweet? Why does nature not working me with me, please?

Please enjoy this vlog of that day. Thanks, for stopping by, hope you enjoy the trip. Beth ( ;

Point Lookout State Park, Maryland & area lighthouses

Where we stayed: Point Lookout State Park, Maryland

Fort Lincoln, located within Point Lookout State Park. The only original part that is still at the location is the white barrier wall, all buildings are new, I guess the weather and winds are rough on fort.

Here is a vlog from that day of the sunset view from the state park & a coastline view from Fort Lincoln. I can so see why the fort was so in needs of repair, the winds there are so violent.

Cove Point Lighthouse
I will say that Maryland has pretty tough lighthouses to get to up close, usually you can get better shots, instead of through fences and all that jazz, but at least you can sort of see them? RIGHT??! Thanks for stopping by today. Hope you are well. Enjoy these views. Plan a trip soon, such a gorgeous area of Maryland. Beth  ( :
