Point Lookout State Park, Maryland & area lighthouses

Where we stayed: Point Lookout State Park, Maryland

Fort Lincoln, located within Point Lookout State Park. The only original part that is still at the location is the white barrier wall, all buildings are new, I guess the weather and winds are rough on fort.

Here is a vlog from that day of the sunset view from the state park & a coastline view from Fort Lincoln. I can so see why the fort was so in needs of repair, the winds there are so violent.

I will say that Maryland has pretty tough lighthouses to get to up close, usually you can get better shots, instead of through fences and all that jazz, but at least you can sort of see them? RIGHT??! Thanks for stopping by today. Hope you are well. Enjoy these views. Plan a trip soon, such a gorgeous area of Maryland. Beth  ( :

Hello, Beth! I have been to the Point Lookout years ago. I am not sure why the fence is there, maybe they a gate open at certain times for up close visits. Thanks for sharing your trip! Have a great day and new week ahead!

Maryland is a gorgeous state. You captured the lighthouses well, even through the fences!

Now you have me all interested in light houses . .

Did you actually stay in one of those little white houses?
(If they ARE houses . . anyway, they kinda look like a community dream.)

Happy Day to YOU!

It's been ages since I've been to Point Lookout. I'd like to go back. Lots of history there.
