Point Lookout State Park, Maryland & area lighthouses

Where we stayed: Point Lookout State Park, Maryland

Fort Lincoln, located within Point Lookout State Park. The only original part that is still at the location is the white barrier wall, all buildings are new, I guess the weather and winds are rough on fort.

Here is a vlog from that day of the sunset view from the state park & a coastline view from Fort Lincoln. I can so see why the fort was so in needs of repair, the winds there are so violent.

I will say that Maryland has pretty tough lighthouses to get to up close, usually you can get better shots, instead of through fences and all that jazz, but at least you can sort of see them? RIGHT??! Thanks for stopping by today. Hope you are well. Enjoy these views. Plan a trip soon, such a gorgeous area of Maryland. Beth  ( :

Hello, Beth! I have been to the Point Lookout years ago. I am not sure why the fence is there, maybe they a gate open at certain times for up close visits. Thanks for sharing your trip! Have a great day and new week ahead!

Maryland is a gorgeous state. You captured the lighthouses well, even through the fences!

Now you have me all interested in light houses . .

Did you actually stay in one of those little white houses?
(If they ARE houses . . anyway, they kinda look like a community dream.)

Happy Day to YOU!

It's been ages since I've been to Point Lookout. I'd like to go back. Lots of history there.

Kayaking it

We really lucked out to go kayaking on this trip while we were staying at Davy Crockett State Park, TN. So you know ... I have yet to fall out of my kayak .... KNOCK ON WOOD ... knock on your head ...whatever!! My hubby this kayaking trip slipped once going into this kayak right off the bat and then the kayaking completely flipped over ...it was a real COLD adventure ...fun but so so cold. & our camping friends ...who don't go kayaking often were wanting to help the hubby but I had it under control ...I had water come up and over the kayak ... I am guessing that would be a good reason to have a skirt on your kayak. Wonder if I could do that on my kind of kayak? Not sure ...but it was so so cold. We made it back all in one piece.
Thank you for stopping by today. Hope you did enjoy your visit. Thank you for your comments and friendship. ENJOY YOUR DAY!! Be Well & Be Blessed!! Beth ( :

So many bikes, so many unique ones to see and just drool over. Are you a bike fan? If you can remember your childhood, what was the must have bike of that year, I bet it is here in mint condition. So fun!! Harley Davidson made bikes, not just Harleys??! Who knew? So many creators, just so so much history. Are you a history buff, I don't remember all these dates, maybe you could or can? Thank you for stopping by today. Hope you are well. Take Care!!! Beth ( ;
