Trillium & Dogwoods

Not sure about you ... but I don't always get the time to stop and enjoy the blooms. While visiting Cades Cove and The Great Smoky Mtns in Tennessee ..we got the chance to enjoy the trillium and dogwood blooms. I found a really cool website about "Ten Things to Know about Trilliums", which I thought was so super cool info., that I didn't know, I love learning, go check it out just for fun, did you know all that info.? 39 native trilliums in the US? Wonder about what is around in Canada or other countries? really??! Now I wanna find them all, who is with me? I have never seen any kind but the white ones, what about you? I got start a check list of every one I need to find. Usually I see trillium off on the sides of the road in Virginia ... but there is never a spot to see them close up ... not safe to stop that sort of thing ... so enjoyed seeing these though. You enjoy!! Have a super great day!! & THANK YOU for stopping by. Hope you are well. Be Well & Be Blessed. Beth ( ;

I LOVE dogwood blossoms...and I so love trillium. I honestly don't remember ever seeing the white, always see the deep red. But I think surely I have seen white...and in looking up something, I did come across the fact that there are a lot of varieties. I want to check out the facts page you gave, but haven't done it yet....

We have white and red trilliums here for a few weeks in the spring, generally in shady spots. Dogwood is very rare here, though I can think of one that's planted in a zen garden at one of our museums.

Briery Creek Lake, Farmville, Virginia

Taking a break from our trips, to talk about a recent kayaking trip. We have had so much rain here in Virginia in the month of May. It has been so green. The funny thing is how the weather folks keep saying we are in a drought??! WHAT??! So on Monday May 9th, we took a day trip to "Briery Creek Lake", Farmville, VA. At this area there was a sign about "Trophy Largemouth Bass", so if you are fan, you might wanna check out. We are not fisherpeople, just love the kayaking experience. It was a gorgeous day! I was trying to get the picture of the osprey, the water was thinking otherwise, but I did ok... in the video below you will hear birdies, I did try to capture the osprey, but the silly bird stopped singing, it was such an interesting sound. chirp? tweet? Why does nature not working me with me, please?

Please enjoy this vlog of that day. Thanks, for stopping by, hope you enjoy the trip. Beth ( ;

Sculptures at Hershey Gardens

Such amazing sculptures there at "Hershey Gardens" ... let's check them out. As I say there are so many areas to walk around there at the gardens ...gorgeous trees to stand under if you are dealing with lots of sun. Great shades. Herb gardens, a perfect place for great visit no matter the season. So fun!! I think my favorite will be the butterfly girl ...she just looks so happy and free. 2nd fave is the girl smelling the rose. Thank you for stopping by. Hope you are well today. Take care. Riverbend Campground, Hiawassee, GA

"Riverbend Campground, Hiawassee, GA", this was our 1st visit. Such a well cared for, gorgeous locations for camping and have a ton of fun... this is one of the best campgrounds we have ever stayed in ...Beth how can you say this you might ask? ...the bathrooms were well cared for, gorgeous views, pretty easy access to water for water exercise, kayaking, areas for group togetherness and locations to walk and just time to relax. Even close to many locations of MUST SEE SIGHTS, waterfalls, hiking and suchness. We were there for "Eggs on the Hiawassee" one of our Casita rallies. SO FUN!!

Please enjoy the vlog from that day. You can hear lots of bugs and birds. We just hopped into the waters behind our campsite and just rowed away. We have 2 other couples who did borrow our kayaks to enjoy these waters as well. So fun. I love going out on waters to enjoy the day and take some pics. There are duck families every where, but they didn't like it when you got close ...s…
