Chautauqua Institution, NY

Chautauqua Institution, 1 Ames Ave. Chautauqua, NY. 14722, "The Chautauqua Institution is a non-profit education center and summer resort for adults & youth located on 750 acres in Chautauqua, New York, 17 miles northwest of Jamestown in the southwestern part of New York State." we were glad to stop in to this location, when it was during the off season, now i would enjoy being a fly on the wall just to see it when it was totally full, but the man at the front desk said it is nuts!! for me that is enough info. to stay the heck away. Beth doesn't like huge big crowds, pass on that. it is amazing how close the homes are and how u have very little, if any grass or yard?? i love me some country living. don't think i could or would fit in here??! so fun to see all the gorgeous architecture, this is the time that they are allowed to work on their homes and have work trucks everywhere. normally it is very strict no cars or truck anywhere during the on season ...just golf carts and bikes, i believe? have a great day. i appreciate your comments. see ya again real soon. Kayaking it

We really lucked out to go kayaking on this trip while we were staying at Davy Crockett State Park, TN. So you know ... I have yet to fall out of my kayak .... KNOCK ON WOOD ... knock on your head ...whatever!! My hubby this kayaking trip slipped once going into this kayak right off the bat and then the kayaking completely flipped over ...it was a real COLD adventure ...fun but so so cold. & our camping friends ...who don't go kayaking often were wanting to help the hubby but I had it under control ...I had water come up and over the kayak ... I am guessing that would be a good reason to have a skirt on your kayak. Wonder if I could do that on my kind of kayak? Not sure ...but it was so so cold. We made it back all in one piece.
Thank you for stopping by today. Hope you did enjoy your visit. Thank you for your comments and friendship. ENJOY YOUR DAY!! Be Well & Be Blessed!! Beth ( :
