Wellsboro Diner, Wellsboro, PA

Right after our trip (hike) around Leonard Harrison State Park, we drove over to this beauty... Wellsboro Diner, 19 Main St, Wellsboro, PA 16901. (570)724-3992 "Old-school American restaurant with a dining car–style interior & menu of breakfast & sandwiches." Let me tell you they have great coffee, their mugs are the old style ones, kind of small ...brought back some memories, someone I knew as a kid had those very same mugs. Inside the diner seems bigger than the outside view?! I will say that the food is great, but do have a thought of what you want before you go in, 'cause no one is gonna give ya a suggestion or 2, the waitress ... yes, I am a customer who will always ask a waiter or waitress "what should I have?" I think a great employee is one who can recommend to you as a customer what is great around their business, I mean come on, you are their face, you do work there and you know what is served, so come on be a doll and pass along that word??! What we did get was good, the coffee was my favorite though. The hubby got a philly cheese sub ('cause he is always on the hunt for the perfect one because he had one, once upon a time and he still is trying to top that, we disagree on that, but whatever makes him, I guess??!) and I got some okay french toast. I am an expert on french toast and this was probably a 3 or 4 out of five stars. But can I say I want more of that coffee, no clue what was in that coffee but it was darn good. Woke me on up. YUM!

have a great day. i appreciate your comments. see ya again real soon. Beth ( ;

Dells Mill, Augusta, Wisconsin

"Dells Mill", in Augusta, Wisconsin ...was a huge learning experience. Gus Clark, the museum guide was so great.

i just went to the website, to share the link with you guys and i see that Gus did pass away. i am trying to check my notes to see when we were there. we were trying to recall the day. my parents anniversary is August 24th. apparently the day he past away. (he was telling us that he did have some health issues, no details, but i thought he looked ok?) he was so cool. he was very descriptive and so fun to listen too. the mill had been in his family for years. he was just like a real history book. such a loss. (i just checked my notes we were there Thurs. 8/21) i hope he knew we enjoyed our visit. we told him so. thanked him for his time & explained we love seeing the odd, the different & the usual places throughout the US.

mills are becoming far and few. sad but true. ) :

We were so happy to find the restaurant ...some times we just head thinking we want to find the 1st great looking place to try out. & thankfully this was a great pick, check out these views we got to see while eating this fabulous meal. This meal was one of the best meals we had all of our whole Canadian trip. It was a amazing!! 1. appetizer, 2. I had halibut, 3. hubby had elk, and 4. was the pyramid chocolate yummyness. it was delicious!! Are you now hungry? Beth ( :
