Kayaking it

We really lucked out to go kayaking on this trip while we were staying at Davy Crockett State Park, TN. So you know ... I have yet to fall out of my kayak .... KNOCK ON WOOD ... knock on your head ...whatever!! My hubby this kayaking trip slipped once going into this kayak right off the bat and then the kayaking completely flipped over ...it was a real COLD adventure ...fun but so so cold. & our camping friends ...who don't go kayaking often were wanting to help the hubby but I had it under control ...I had water come up and over the kayak ... I am guessing that would be a good reason to have a skirt on your kayak. Wonder if I could do that on my kind of kayak? Not sure ...but it was so so cold. We made it back all in one piece.

Thank you for stopping by today. Hope you did enjoy your visit. Thank you for your comments and friendship. ENJOY YOUR DAY!! Be Well & Be Blessed!! Beth ( :

Yikes! The water must be cold now. If I weren't so afraid of falling into the water, kayaking or canoeing look like fun.

I have a deep-seated fear of drowning so I don't know if I could kayak. Pretty pictures though.

If you kayak in my neck of the woods, you'd be wishing for cooler water. What lovely views and I hope your luck keeps on. :)

It is a little bit too early in the year to even want to wade in water...much less a total dunking!

I have never done this. My back is too far gone to begin, as well. I shall enjoy your photos!

Beth, I could say I had never fallen out of my canoe or kayak until last summer. We were kayaking the Smith MT. River with cousins when I fell out. It will be my last river kayak! The water was up, and the rapids were intense. I'm sticking with lakes from now on!
