Nothing Runs Like A Deere?

Hey there, Who love tractors like ME? As a young kid I remember riding with my Dad and even my Pop-Pop (my Dad's Dad.) on their tractors, they always had John Deere tractors, much smaller than these, but green (or is it greene?) all the same was so fun!! The noise, I felt like I was really helping them mow the lawn was such a great time. Such memories. I must admit I got a bit emotional seeing all these tractors? Is that just a Beth thing? Maybe I am just sentimental over family times??! More tractors next week? Do you have a favorite kind of tractor? Color of tractors you might love? Special memory you might wanna share with me? Please do. I would love that. <3

Thank you for stopping by today. Hope you did enjoy your visit. Thank you for your comments and friendship. ENJOY YOUR DAY!! Be Well & Be Blessed!! Beth ( :

I grew up in the countryside around farms, so they were a fairly common sight to have around.

We had a John Deere when I was a kid...the kind that makes the put-put...and the clutch was a gear stick...not a pedal. Then when I work at the orchard all those years, I drove a John Deere. Actually two different John Deeres....they had a motor big/strong enough to pull a 500 gallon sprayer through the orchard....but the second one they had to have smaller rims put on till it would fit through the trees without knocking apples off in the fall.

I grew up in the suburbs so we didn't have a tractor. I do like the green color better than the orange tractors that I sometimes see.

I've never been on a tractor, but I love your fascination with them.
Maybe you just like Kenney Chesney? "she thinks my tractor's sexy"? ;)

Dells Mill, Augusta, Wisconsin

"Dells Mill", in Augusta, Wisconsin ...was a huge learning experience. Gus Clark, the museum guide was so great.

i just went to the website, to share the link with you guys and i see that Gus did pass away. i am trying to check my notes to see when we were there. we were trying to recall the day. my parents anniversary is August 24th. apparently the day he past away. (he was telling us that he did have some health issues, no details, but i thought he looked ok?) he was so cool. he was very descriptive and so fun to listen too. the mill had been in his family for years. he was just like a real history book. such a loss. (i just checked my notes we were there Thurs. 8/21) i hope he knew we enjoyed our visit. we told him so. thanked him for his time & explained we love seeing the odd, the different & the usual places throughout the US.

We were so happy to find the restaurant ...some times we just head thinking we want to find the 1st great looking place to try out. & thankfully this was a great pick, check out these views we got to see while eating this fabulous meal. This meal was one of the best meals we had all of our whole Canadian trip. It was a amazing!! 1. appetizer, 2. I had halibut, 3. hubby had elk, and 4. was the pyramid chocolate yummyness. it was delicious!! Are you now hungry? Beth ( :
