Were you a Laura Ingalls fan? I loved those books and the tv show. I think I have seen all episodes? Did you have a favorite one? I couldn't get over the Ma and Pa... I did ask the hubs after we left the place, what was their real names, I know they were not Ma and Pa??! LOL! I didn't realize that her parents really got around ...they moved and moved across are great nation. Trying to make a living and keep their family living well and healthy. Thanks for stopping by. Pa's name was Charles...and yes, I loved the show and the books...I would love to visit that museum.

How fun to see the house!! I read the books and faithfully watched all the shows. Charles and Caroline were the parents names. I can so vividly hear Ma saying, Oh Charles. Its that prudent snob Mrs. Olsen and her spoiled daughter Nellie haha Oh my gosh your post brings back memories. Glad you also had a wonderful Memorial Day Weekend!!

"Bar U Ranch" , National Historic Site. Established in 1882, it was huge ranching operation  "even more info here." .  if you know anything about me, you will know I have always wanted to live on a farm, own a farm, have horses, cows, dogs, cats, garden, fields, quiet & peace the whole 9 or is it 10 yards.   Backbone Rock Tunnel, Shady Valley, Tennessee "spur ridge on Holston Mtn that abruptly ends at a bend in Beaverdam Creek. tunnel was drilled through rock in 1901 to allow railroad access between Shady Valley and Damascus, Virginia" Hey There, don't ya love it when you are driving along and find a neat spot? …this tunnel was a busier road, got to see it from both sides of the road ...very cool.
