Casey, Illinois

Casey, Illinois
1. World's Largest Rocking Chair
2. World's Largest Wind Chime
3. Library Book Worm
4. World's Largest Mailbox
5. Minion

We were hoping to find food, gas and enjoy some sights while taking the Casey, Illinois exit. We got gasoline and found these cool sights... No food that we were hoping for ...but a library WORM. book worm. so cool, I took it for my Mom who was a middle school librarian. SO FUN!! I always wonder how folks decide things are "World's Largest... blah. blah. blah." are there rules about that or what? SO CURIOUS??! Now there were plenty of other World's Largest items we did go in search for ...but if you are in the Casey, Illinois be sure to check them out, a cool area of the world to see. Have a great day. Thanks for stopping by. Take Care. Beth ( ;

Guess I would need a sturdy ladder to get into that rocking chair. Interesting sights. The huge mailbox must be for those huge Christmas presents everyone loves to get me. LOL

Dells Mill, Augusta, Wisconsin

"Dells Mill", in Augusta, Wisconsin ...was a huge learning experience. Gus Clark, the museum guide was so great.

i just went to the website, to share the link with you guys and i see that Gus did pass away. i am trying to check my notes to see when we were there. we were trying to recall the day. my parents anniversary is August 24th. apparently the day he past away. (he was telling us that he did have some health issues, no details, but i thought he looked ok?) he was so cool. he was very descriptive and so fun to listen too. the mill had been in his family for years. he was just like a real history book. such a loss. (i just checked my notes we were there Thurs. 8/21) i hope he knew we enjoyed our visit. we told him so. thanked him for his time & explained we love seeing the odd, the different & the usual places throughout the US.

mills are becoming far and few. sad but true. ) :

This meal was one of the best meals we had all of our whole Canadian trip. It was a amazing!! 1. appetizer, 2. I had halibut, 3. hubby had elk, and 4. was the pyramid chocolate yummyness. it was delicious!! Are you now hungry? Beth ( :
