Close Up's from the Bily Clock Museum

more from the Bily Clock Museum, did you miss my first blog post "see here". Just look that that work, can you believe that is real, it is just mind numbing to me. 2nd picture is my fave of all these clocks, i love transportation and found it really cool all those details. 3rd picture is the clock Henry Ford want to pay 1 million dollars (this would have been in the 30's, depression era ... amazing that folks even had a million dollars way back then) to have in his museum. & did u know the Smithsonian Museum has asked to have these clocks in their museum, but the Bily Bros. always wanted their works of art to stay in Spillville, Iowa. I sure hope folks will go there to see them, so amazing. Some parts move, dance, sing, have music. We had a camping friend named "Iowa Dave" and he recommended us to go. So fun!! I really enjoyed it. Have a great day. Thank you for stopping by. Take Care, Beth ( ;

I would love to know how long it took to make each one....and I wonder if just one person worked on them?

They are amazing, I agree.
Too many, now, have too many millions, while we cannot even give a working hourly wage for good, honest workers. It is awful.

Biltmore, Asheville, North Carolina

This was my 2nd trip to the "Biltmore" Estates. Last visit was in November (not sure of the year?, but I was not blogging at the time.) Photos are only allowed outside the home. NEVER INSIDE. Which I was hoping they would allow photos of the Downton Abbey clothing but nope. no go. Not sure how other folks who have shown pics on their blog of the outfits have gotten past those rules???!
The positive is my Mom & I have lots of great fun memories. We went as an early birthday present for me thanks to my hubby & my parents. So sweet! Mom & I had a fun girls times together. I knew the Downton Abbey clothing would be there until May 25th, 2 days after my birthday... so I wanted to go before they left & my Mom is a super Downton Abbey fan ...it was a must see for the both of us. So so fun!!!
What I love about this home, you drive into that gatehouse at the top & then suddenly you lose all the traffic, the city sounds & noise ...you drive through the farm …

Freshwater Fishing Hall of Fame, Hayward, Wisconsin

"Freshwater Fishing Hall of Fame", Hayward, Wisconsin. i am not a fisherwoman, but i have always been amazed by folks who do fish. all the hard work you do to make those stats. i must say i would prefer to see all these fish in the sea. not on the wall like this ...but what can you do? have you ever seen any of these fish alive before? this salmon above is so cool!!

did i mention that the hubby had a speed boat when we 1st started dating. it was awesome. but i always thought it needed to go FASTER. i love a fast boat. then the goober sold the thing. i miss it big time. he got rid of it because we didn't use it enough. kind of hard when you don't live near any BIG bodys of water. guess we need to move. he loved all the boat motors at this place. i now own a huge SD card of boat motors, what??! yep, i do. any one else in the world who can say that, can YOU say the same thing???!!!??!!!!

do you love to fish? Beth ( :

Kayaking it

We really lucked out to go kayaking on this trip while we were staying at Davy Crockett State Park, TN. So you know ... I have yet to fall out of my kayak .... KNOCK ON WOOD ... knock on your head ...whatever!! My hubby this kayaking trip slipped once going into this kayak right off the bat and then the kayaking completely flipped over ...it was a real COLD adventure ...fun but so so cold. & our camping friends ...who don't go kayaking often were wanting to help the hubby but I had it under control ...I had water come up and over the kayak ... I am guessing that would be a good reason to have a skirt on your kayak. Wonder if I could do that on my kind of kayak? Not sure ...but it was so so cold. We made it back all in one piece.
Thank you for stopping by today. Hope you did enjoy your visit. Thank you for your comments and friendship. ENJOY YOUR DAY!! Be Well & Be Blessed!! Beth ( :
