Lincoln Museum, Hodgenville, Kentucky

The Lincoln Museum
66 Lincoln Square
Hodgenville, KY 42748

Hey there, thank you stopping by today!! I am such a fan of President Abraham Lincoln. He was truly one of my favorite Presidents to learn about in school. I guess partly due to his extreme height and how cool he looked. I just loved studying about him and all his historical moments. Always a fan of hearing and seeing artifacts about him. Who is your favorite President? Or maybe you might wanna say who you loved learning about when you were a child?

There were a few maybe like two paintings, of Lincoln making him look very sad, rough and weak?!! I always imagined Mr. Lincoln to be a man of such strength, courage and honor. He would never show weakness ...I know he went through some rough moments ...but he had such character.

It is just tough to take a picture of a picture ... I went throughout the museum looking of paintings or other keepsakes trying to decide what to share with ya and there is always a glare ... but you get the idea, I hope??! The picture with all the plates I went from the left, less glare but not a head on view??! What's a girl to do? These pics were taken June 2019. Hope you are well. Be Well & Be Blessed! Beth ( ;

Sounds interesting. Lincoln was a great man for the time and rose to the tough challenge during a crisis.

Dells Mill, Augusta, Wisconsin

"Dells Mill", in Augusta, Wisconsin ...was a huge learning experience. Gus Clark, the museum guide was so great.

i just went to the website, to share the link with you guys and i see that Gus did pass away. i am trying to check my notes to see when we were there. we were trying to recall the day. my parents anniversary is August 24th. apparently the day he past away. (he was telling us that he did have some health issues, no details, but i thought he looked ok?) he was so cool. he was very descriptive and so fun to listen too. the mill had been in his family for years. he was just like a real history book. such a loss. (i just checked my notes we were there Thurs. 8/21) i hope he knew we enjoyed our visit. we told him so. thanked him for his time & explained we love seeing the odd, the different & the usual places throughout the US.

We were so happy to find the restaurant ...some times we just head thinking we want to find the 1st great looking place to try out. & thankfully this was a great pick, check out these views we got to see while eating this fabulous meal. This meal was one of the best meals we had all of our whole Canadian trip. It was a amazing!! 1. appetizer, 2. I had halibut, 3. hubby had elk, and 4. was the pyramid chocolate yummyness. it was delicious!! Are you now hungry? Beth ( :
