August Schell Brewing Company, MN

August "Schell" Brewing Company
1860 Schell's Rd
New Ulm, MN

"Our story began long before 1860 with a man named August Schell. From his birth, his move to the States, and even co-founding New Ulm. We all start somewhere and Schells' story started right here."

If you know anything about Beth, I am not really a drinker ...I'll say I enjoy vodka, but really I don't do it often. I will try it (wine, bourbon, beers, mixed drinks, whatever)...but don't usually enjoy it. We did take a factory tour ... included in that tour would be the grounds, the gorgeous home above, a tasting ...I think like 7 or so type from their different beers. My hubby just drank their root beer ...which was pretty good. My fave was their: Schell's Sangria Red Citrus Lager ...now that was awesome, If i had an occasion where I needed to drink something I might try that again. I thought maybe it was not a real beer?? but it was fruity and good. Check it out if you want, maybe you might enjoy it too?

Hello,

The brewery and home tour sound like fun. I have been to a wine tasting but not a beer tasting. Enjoy your day, wishing you a happy new week ahead.

That house looks gorgeous. I wonder what I would do if on a tour where I was expected to drink any alcohol ? I just have never and can't say I really want to now. Not that I am opposed to someone having any of it, if done in moderation .

Interesting house! I don't like the smell of alcohol so a tasting does not appeal to me.

Cool looking place, I don't drink alcohol but I do like to visit and learn about the way things are made.
