New Ulm's Glockenspiel, MN

I have been raised in a family where clocks are way cool. My Grandfather built clocks, grandfather clocks ...so I know the craftsmanship it takes to go into making a clock ...it take times, energy and true dedication. I felt the clock was not in tune ...and it is so loud ...time slots are 12 NOON, 3 & 5 PM, You will see these little folks come jumping out to do their dance. We got lunch just to see them do their things. Can you imagine living around there, hearing that day after day. I had to laugh. I guess it gives the area character, so that is so neat!! A real German feel .. lots of German restaurants, decor, festivities, etc. Thank you for stopping by. Hope you are well. Take Care. Be Well & Be Blessed!! Beth ( :

Hello,

What a cool clock. It is neat seeing the people moving around on it too. Enjoy your day, wishing you a happy new week ahead.

Ha ha! I wonder what it's like to hear it all the time. 😆

That is so cool. I'm guessing that the folks living near it get used to it and likely don’t even notice the hourly chimes.
