Pineapple Fountain, Charleston, SC


The Pineapple Fountain which is part of Charleston Waterfront Park, South Carolina. While we were waiting on the City Gallery to open, they open 10 am (please google that, we went on a Monday, apparently they are closed on Monday, had paid for a parking spot and everything, CHECK THAT 2!!!). Did miss this post "Mary Whyte - We The People", I am sure this art gallery is always changing, we have only visit this once when seeing Mary Whyte's art work. Such a gorgeous area of Charleston, SC. This fountain opened in 1990, the spring after Hurricane Hugo. Pineapples are common within Charleston and they represent hospitality. I've been to this fountain several times while in Charleston. Charleston is a great city to walk through, especially the historical district.

"Bar U Ranch" , National Historic Site. Established in 1882, it was huge ranching operation  "even more info here." .  if you know anything about me, you will know I have always wanted to live on a farm, own a farm, have horses, cows, dogs, cats, garden, fields, quiet & peace the whole 9 or is it 10 yards. Shady Valley, TN

  Backbone Rock Tunnel, Shady Valley, Tennessee "spur ridge on Holston Mtn that abruptly ends at a bend in Beaverdam Creek. tunnel was drilled through rock in 1901 to allow railroad access between Shady Valley and Damascus, Virginia" Hey There, don't ya love it when you are driving along and find a neat spot? …this tunnel was a busier road, got to see it from both sides of the road ...very cool.
