Yanceyville Mill, Virginia

Hey friends. Wow, I am sharing this several weeks after we went for a drive, and I have sadly run out of posts, so I thought I would share this event with ya, staying at home 24/7 is nuts ...my hubby is working from home. Amazing how noises that might have been annoying in the past, are now just comforting to hear something, anything ...just to know there is someone else out there??! Dog, people, any one beside you and your hubby, who are the only folks you are seeing on the daily??! So we had gotten in a somewhat normal (if you can call it normal, what is normal, anyways?) routine, working from home, sleeping, eating, trying to get some entertainment other than the silly news, we have been watching Northern Exposure, been meaning to watch that series, it was high time to do so ... we wanted to see something new/different, other than those four walls (you know, your house walls, LOL!!) so we jumped into Luigi (my Fiat 500) and took a drive in the country. Saw this beauty, Yanceyville Mill, VA, no real website for visiting the mill, still researching, i can see they are trying to restore it, maybe??! ... and then we stopped off at Popeye's for chicken. Are you a fried chicken fan? It was so nice just to get out. Hope you are well. THANK YOU, for stopping by. Tell me what are you up to lately? Shopping? Online shopping? Bird Watching? Writing letters or emails to friends? Movies? Popcorn? Cleaning? Organizing? Baking? Cooking? Go on leave me a comment. Beth ( ;

Hello Beth,

Love the old mill, they are always located in a pretty spot.
We do go out for our walks, to the food stores. I do a little baking, not too much. Baked goods tend to be bad for me and my hubby. I use my kindle and reading lots of books. I have binged watched some shows on Netflix and Prime. Enjoy your day, wishing you a happy new week!

I hear you. The new normal is unreal. While we are retired, I used to enjoy sending hubby on errands to get some peace and quiet. He's getting tired, though. He's no spring chicken.

Hi Beth, Pretty pictures from your drive. We are much the same.....we walk the dog, we take a drive, listen to music. I am cooking most of our meals at home, just trying to be safe and healthy. Take good care and have a nice week. ME

Interesting old mill. I spend way too much time on social media, and have trouble feeling motivated since so many places are closed. We do go for rides, however, and often the scenery is beautiful.

I'm so happy you were able to get out for a drive...good for you guys.
Being together for a long time can be overwhelming, but we will all get through it. Missed hearing from you
