A beautiful place to take a picnic lunch, and we did just that ...got lunch at the "Ransone's Drug Store", I'll be sharing that post next week. We enjoyed this view, and just chilled. Or tried too??! It was a pretty humid hot day. Thank goodness for AC!! This bridge is closed. Not sure if it is due to the virus going around or what??! It looked to be in good condition?? I wonder ... fun to see. If it is a swinging bridge, that as far as I'm concerned, it can be closed. I don't do things like that well. i have walked across one swinging bridge and it wasn’t too bad, but many just look too scary for me.Nice pictures, though.

Not so sure about the swinging Bridge. They require a lot of maintenance. Too hot for a picnic for me. Glad you had a good time. Looks beautiful. Hope you’re staying cool. Enjoy your coming week.

would you have walked on the bridge had it been open?? awesome pictures and i am glad you were able to have a picnic...that's not so easy in the weather we have been having!!!

"Bar U Ranch" , National Historic Site.   Backbone Rock Tunnel, Shady Valley, Tennessee "spur ridge on Holston Mtn that abruptly ends at a bend in Beaverdam Creek. tunnel was drilled through rock in 1901 to allow railroad access between Shady Valley and Damascus, Virginia" Hey There, don't ya love it when you are driving along and find a neat spot? …this tunnel was a busier road, got to see it from both sides of the road ...very cool.
