Bear Creek Mill, Rustburg, VA

Bear Creek Mill, Rustburg, VA
"Twitty's"

Gorgeous day, it was a bit humid, taken early July 2020, hubby was taking these pictures with his Android cell phone, i am so shocked by the great details, i feel they are way better than when i use my camera. i am curious why or how??! Are we moving toward the day that we will only use cell phones for picture or what?? ...when we were "grist mill hunting", my hubby was on a roll ...he is really having a ball trying to hunt down ones we have taken the time to drive 2. Being that we are at home, trying to "social distances" from others ...he has been working a schedule of working Wednesday to Sunday ... off Monday and Tuesday ...so we get out there on our new weekend times. It really is less folks, because a lot of folks are home or at least going to their offices.

Thank you for stopping by. Hope you are well. Take Care. Beth ( ;

Pretty little grist mill. I think cell phones are more convenient and you usually have them with you. The pictures are almost good camera quality. Happy Sunday

Going places during the week is a great way to avoid crowds.

Today I posted pics of Graves Chapel. We went there on Tuesday, inspired by your posts. (THANK YOU!)

Yes, phone cameras can take great scenery shots. I find closeups of things and people are somewhat skewed though. Glad to find your blog and start to see what you post! That creek must have been re-routed so the mill is dry. I also love seeing the waterwheels.

Gus Clark, the museum guide was so great. i just went to the website, to share the link with you guys and i see that Gus did pass away. i am trying to check my notes to see when we were there. we were trying to recall the day. my parents anniversary is August 24th. apparently the day he past away. (he was telling us that he did have some health issues, no details, but i thought he looked ok?) he was so cool. he was very descriptive and so fun to listen too. the mill had been in his family for years. he was just like a real history book. such a loss. (i just checked my notes we were there Thurs. 8/21) i hope he knew we enjoyed our visit. we told him so. thanked him for his time & explained we love seeing the odd, the different & the usual places throughout the US. mills are becoming far and few. sad but true. ) : i wonder who will take over the mill? he was having issues wi
