What was delicious there you might ask? Their "sticky buns", we got some 2 sandwiches, dish of tuna salad and one sticky bun to go ...got home and I about died, the hubby was super kind and let me have most of it, my mouth is watering now just thinking about it, don't ya wish that when you hesitated about buying more than one, someone would hit ya and say in your ear go on, buy more, do it!!!  ...that was so so YUMMY GOOD!! Wish I had known and I would gotta a few more. A fun quick stop by if you are in the area. 25 mph speed zone, so a great spot to walk, breathe, take in the local quiet life, music, scenery and enjoy the local feels. 
As a kid my parents would take me past the Batesville Market, a different road to head to my Grandma Ruby's house in southern Virginia, it was totally out of the way, but when you wanted a totally new route it was fun to take, it always would look so cool, don't think we ever would stop in just drive by. But this day the hubby and I went and grabbed some breakfast sandwiches, cinnamon bun and drinks. It was a fun lunch stop. Drove to the Blue Ridge Parkway and enjoyed the view while lunching. Such a gorgeous area of Virginia. Take a moment and be sure to check them out, they have many wine and beer options if that is your fancy? I am almost positive this is an ongoing for the Market to do when the owner is ready to pass it on ...the sale it for DOLLAR, point being you are taking on all the responsibilities (We did take a few more pics of the place, but sadly they didn't turn out, a bit fuzzy, I guess cell phone can still take fuzzy views, just like your normal camera, but we didn't realize it till we were gone, oh well, the quaint, quirkiness is there all the same, a cute stop in ... for some coffee, a treat, or just to chat about the local must see sights) and that is a lot of doe ...so they figure selling it for that prices give you the chance to take it if you please??!

Update: We drove through "Batesville, VA" over the weekend of 12/6/2020 ...didn't have time to stop to get even more photos, it is amazing how different it can feel, during different season, or whatnot??!   Backbone Rock Tunnel, Shady Valley, Tennessee "spur ridge on Holston Mtn that abruptly ends at a bend in Beaverdam Creek. tunnel was drilled through rock in 1901 to allow railroad access between Shady Valley and Damascus, Virginia" Hey There, don't ya love it when you are driving along and find a neat spot? …this tunnel was a busier road, got to see it from both sides of the road ...very cool. "Lincoln's New Salem" , Petersburg, Illinois. Can we just say 1st how difficult it is to spell ILLINOIS. nuts!! I think it is even easier to spell MISSISSIPPI. right??! We were told about this site, thanks to a tour guide in Colorado, he said there is a man who works here that look just like Abe Lincoln himself during his young years. Now if you know anything about me, I LOVE HISTORY. 2nd I love anything Abe Lincoln, he's one of my most favorite presidents ever. So I was super excited to meet this gentleman, do you think he was working the day we visited? nope, any ways... A lovely walk & we had fun seeing all the animals. I wonder why we live in such big homes, this one above shows a nice size home all you need in one little room. Less space, less money to pay each month. Sounds good to me!!!
