Church of Our Lady of The Springs

"Why called French Lick Indiana: early French settlers and the "mineral licks". French traders came to the area and discovered the mineral springs bubbling from the ground..."

What a cool area. Not much around ...we had been eating at the "German Cafe"
https://www.germancafefrenchlick.com/ on Maple Street and right down the road was this beauty. Church of Our Lady of The Springs Catholic Church ...Sitting up on the hill ... Captured it there. Small town. Fun to see. Enjoy!! Thank you for stopping by. Take Care. Beth ( ;

It is a pretty church! I am familiar with the word lick meaning spring. We have a few places around here with lick in the name: Waterlick and Supinlick, for instance.
