Such a gorgeous cemetery, love the moss growing from the trees. So pretty. So you know they do have many bus tours that run within (through, if you wanna learn about those, we didn't wanna do all that ...being folks need to "social distance" and so forth) the cemetery, we just figured we would see a few streets within the cemetery and be on our way. So so amazing, The first scene is a street very close to that cemetery ...figured I would include it here as well. When we were visiting the area they had about 2 or so days of rain ...so it was flooding in Savannah (the water truly has no where to go, so it just backs up onto the streets, yards and historical spots, wild!!) ...many streets were closed, sure was interesting weaving through, trying to get to gardens and places we were hoping to visit. We always make the best of it when traveling, you have to go ...sitting in a trailer (campground) is not fun in the rain... wish it wouldn't rain when you are traveling, or camping out. "Bar U Ranch" , National Historic Site.   Backbone Rock Tunnel, Shady Valley, Tennessee "spur ridge on Holston Mtn that abruptly ends at a bend in Beaverdam Creek. tunnel was drilled through rock in 1901 to allow railroad access between Shady Valley and Damascus, Virginia" Hey There, don't ya love it when you are driving along and find a neat spot? …this tunnel was a busier road, got to see it from both sides of the road ...very cool. Lincoln's New Salem, Petersburg, Illinois

"Lincoln's New Salem" , Petersburg, Illinois. Can we just say 1st how difficult it is to spell ILLINOIS. nuts!! I think it is even easier to spell MISSISSIPPI. right??! We were told about this site, thanks to a tour guide in Colorado, he said there is a man who works here that look just like Abe Lincoln himself during his young years. Now if you know anything about me, I LOVE HISTORY. 2nd I love anything Abe Lincoln, he's one of my most favorite presidents ever. So I was super excited to meet this gentleman, do you think he was working the day we visited? nope, any ways... A lovely walk & we had fun seeing all the animals. I wonder why we live in such big homes, this one above shows a nice size home all you need in one little room. Less space, less money to pay each month. Sounds good to me!!!
