Waterwheel Restaurant

The Inn at Gristmill Square and Waterwheel Restaurant

Like I did say last week, if you missed that post please catch up "The Virginia Room" I would be sharing our meal at the Waterwheel Restaurant. Just a hop, skip and a jump away from the rooms, they are all set so lovely together. A nice walk around during any season. We have been there in fall and springtime. Both were just amazing. I hope in the next few bits to tell you what we did have ...the hubs and I looked at their website and had the whole meal planned ....little did we realize that was just a sample menu. Apparently they must change it daily or weekly, not sure??!! It was a shocker, I had to start completely over and make something really connect. The hubby and I always wish to try items we might not have each and everyday.

I'm not sure why or how google (blogger) decides to input these pictures, but they are not in order of when they did occur. LOL!! So I will list what they are and hope you can easily follow along:

(5th picture) Focaccia Bread, droolable. so so good!! ( ;

(this restaurant always using local veggies, cheese, ice cream, yogurt, so that is always fun)

(3rd picture) 2 types of Beets, Mozzarella Cheese, Prosciutto, greens and tomatoes (one of the best parts of the whole meal. I could have made this my whole meal. SO SO GOOD!!)

(2nd picture) the hubby: Roast Duck Breast, Mash Potatoes, something that reminded me of sauerkraut & greens (We always joke my hubby had a pet named "Killer Bill", and here we are eating DUCK, what?? It was tasty, but I don't think I need to again any time soon, but it was fun for the special moment.)

(1st picture) Myself: Kale & Spinach Salad, Pickled Onions, Blue Cheese dressing some other goodies for sure but I don't recall the other cheese included ...why didn't I think to take a picture of the menu? So silly. Always after the fact.

Sweet Tea to drink with a paper straw, which does take some getting use to. Don't ya think??!

Dessert: This was a piece of pie to share, we are thinking (if we are recalling correctly, lol!! wish we had taken a photo, how do "food vloggers / bloggers" do all these things??! takes lots of smart tips and tricks.) it was apple with vanilla ice cream. Last couple of shots, my hubby always takes some silly photo of me, why didn't he say SMILE?? The other 2 are the restaurants' inside view. So quaint, unique and fun Thank you for stopping by today. Hope you are well. Take Care. Beth ( ;

It looks like a nice restaurant. Blogger seems to change unexpectedly. Sometimes I post the first picture and then go back and add the others so that the right one is it the beginning.
