I would recommend this plantation to tour  "Boone Hall Plantation"  while visiting in the Charleston, SC area ...we were there in Nov 2019 ...why you might ask? Gorgeous gardens, home, lovely area of SC and just so fun to see. I really enjoy the tour guide we did have, her gorgeous dress, can you imagine wearing one of those puffy dress, getting around and wow, how did those ladies do it? I guess they didn't work to hard, huh??! One funny item I recall from the tour ...did u know? Art Work from James Island

Image
"Holiday Festival of Lights" , James Island County Park, Charleston, SC., we were there Nov 2019, this art work was done by school kids ... I was curious how they did decide how to rate or judge them? Ones I felt that were really good ...didn't do as well? I wonder??! If you will investigate the first piece of art ...the blue waves are made from BLUE STRAWS. The bottom of the boat is made from bottle caps. Very cool, resourceful and creative!!! Are you an art fan? Which sort do you enjoy most? Have a favorite color? ENJOY! Thank you for stopping by today. Hope you are well. Be Well & Be Blessed!! Beth ( ;

Mabery Gelvin Botantical Gardens, IL

Image
Mabery Gelvin Botanical Gardens 650 N Lombard St, Mahoment, IL "The Mabery Gelvin Botanical Garden is a botanical garden located within the Lake of the Woods Forest Preserve. Its address is just off State Route 47, one mile north of Interstate 74, in Mahomet, Illinois. It is open during daylight hours; admission is free." hi there. A gorgeous day to walk through, this was an usual garden, because some how we ended up coming in the maintenance entrance, no clue how that happened, be it the GPS or what? Kind of funny. A section with the red bridge was being worked on ... I had to get the hubby to get the shot, he is 6'2 so the height helped. I would have had to go through the fence to get the view. I guess garden maintenance is a constant thing.  I was so lucky to capture this moth (butterfly) checking out the bloom, very cool!! Thank You for stopping by today. Hope you are well. Take Care.
