American Sign Museum, 1330 Monmouth Avenue, Cincinnati, OH 45225, (513)-541-6366,  https://www.americansignmuseum.org/ "What is the American Sign Museum? The American Sign Museum is dedicated to the art and history of signs and sign making.  The museum is proud to be the largest public museum dedicated to signs in the United States!  Covering more than 100 years of American sign history in 20,000 square feet of indoor space, the museum is a walk through the ages of sign technologies and designs. Some signs, still in their original shipping crates, remain pristine. Others proudly retain a weathered look. The storefront-laden Signs on Main Street display recreates a typical Main Street Any-Town USA, with shop windows full of sign-related artifacts. Current sign artisans have added to Main Street's "look" by creating "distressed" signs to reflect the time period. See if you can tell which signs are which! Look for the revolving si

Tour Airstream: 419 West Pike Street, P.O. Box 629, Jackson Center, Ohio 45334. It's a FREE tour. Just bring your camera and great walking shoes. Such a fun tour, we have never had an airstream, but the oldies are sure awesome to see. Do you own an airstream? Know anyone who does? You can not take pics within the factory tour ...these shots are outside and ones they do allow. I now own a "Life Is Good" Airstream t-shirt, sure awesome. I love wearing my camping shirts while we travel. SO FUN!!! Thanks for stopping by. Hope you are well today. Take Care. Beth ( :

Kewpee Hamburgers, Lima, Ohio

Image
Kewpee Hamburgers, Lima, Ohio,  https://kewpeehamburgers.com/ Please be sure to go to their website to see the original restaurant (they have several must see locations) and how it all got started. So amazing!!! When we see an original food location, it is so exciting.... HISTORY in the making, and let me tell ya the drive in line was around the block, the line in the restaurant was so long as well, so they must be doing something right??! We always try the most loved options. We had hamburgers, fries, a milkshake and took 2 pieces of pie to go. Have you had a Kewpee burger before???! Have a great day! Thank you, for stopping by and leaving that great comment. You ROCK! Beth ( ;

Adirondack Experience - The Museum on Blue Mountain Lake, Blue Mountain Lake, NY, 12812. (518)352-7311,  https://www.theadkx.org/ Do you ever go to a museum and you just don't have the time to put into it that you need? I was so frustrated, such a sad face over that one. I am trying to recall over my lifetime (40 years now, several days there) that I have had to turn around and leave because we don't have enough time to cover the place??! It doesn't happen that often that I know of??! (this is totally why kids roll on the floor and have a tantrum, i get it!! you are visiting and you want to fit all this stuff, these activities into your visit and there is never enough time!! I could cry now, I so wanted to go. I wanna see this area in the snow time. wouldn't that be awesome!! so cool!) They recommend at least 2 hours to see everything at this one. So we given permission to go to their "The Lake View Cafe" to have some pie and drinks. At least we got t

Great Camp Sagamore, NY

Image
Great Camp Sagamore, 1105 Sagamore Rd, Raquette Lake, NY. 13436. " Built in 1897 by visionary great camps designer William West Durant on 1,526 acres of remote wilderness in the Adirondack Park, Great Camp Sagamore was a wilderness retreat for the Vanderbilt family for half a century.  It is now a National Historic Landmark managed by a non-profit educational institution as a public trust. " https://greatcampsagamore.org/ It is amazing the history, the architecture that is around this park. So amazing. I really enjoyed our visit there!!! I think my most favorite area or section would be the bowling alley, can you imagine having your very own bowling alley? Took think of how many years it has been around and still looks in pretty good condition compared to other areas or buildings, so wild!! Now they do have side that sort of hang over to keep the snow from falling into the bowling alley there, but that just blows my mind to think of the horrible  Adir

Golden Beach Campground, NY

Golden Beach Campground, Raquette Lake, New York, 13436. (315)354-4230, Adirondack Park region of New York State. Just a heads up, in case you are thinking let me go camping in New York State, they don't have electric sites ...you do have to be sure to charge your electronic while driving in case you need them every night??! I always have a plan when I leave home that I will read my hand held books, 'cause they are piling up, and for a person who is use to using her kindle at night, 'cause it is lit up by light ... reading at night using a normal book is a way step back. So I tend to read outdoors or when we are camping 'cause that means I have light right on me, not this trip ...so the stack of books will have to wait. LOL! It is a great way to get away and just decompress from life. have a great day. i appreciate your comments. see ya again real soon. Beth ( ;

Little Pine State Park, PA

Image
Little Pine State Park, Pennsylvania, 4205 Little Pine Creek Rd, Waterville, Pennsylvania. 17776, (570)753-6000. Yes, we did in fact look for some little pines? But the ones we did find were all big and tall??! They had a recent terrible storm, you could see some flooding issues, rocks moved and all that silliness that kind of weather does to the land??! and had to re-plant ...sorry don't know the right word to say they had to replace (move) all of their tombstones within the state park ...they are within the campground. I need to investigate those and see how they were placed there, we guessed it had to do with the ones who owned the land at one time? Our kayaking trip was a short one, later evening before the sun went down, like an after dinner mint, lots of bugs but it was fun to see some eagles flying around ...they were too quick. I did get some shots but they are not very clear. have a great day. i appreciate your comments. see ya again real soon. Beth ( ;

Leonard Harrison State Park, PA

(sign says): " NESSMUK - The pen name of poet, woods, man, outdoor writer and pioneer conservationist George Washington Sears (1821-1890) a resident of Wellsboro, Pa. From near this spot he wrote the first prose and verse descriptions of the Pine Creek Gorge. " Leonard Harrison State Park, "Grand Canyon of Pennsylvania", Wellsboro, PA. 16901, (570)724-3061, I must say I don't understand why it is called the Grand Canyon of PA? it is a gorgeous area, please don't get me wrong, but it looks nothing like the Grand Canyon. Just Sayin' ??! I am always wondering how folks come up with names for parks, businesses and other places ...we really need to work on that, be more descriptive and to the point. Like we have noticed a lot of just for an example, you have a hotel that is called "Water Lake Views" but it is no even close to a water view or location? It really makes no sense. Mean what you name says please? ( ; have a great day. i

The Silo, Lewiston, New York

Image
The Silo, 115 N Water St., Lewiston, NY 14092 (716)754-9680 " The Silo Restaurant- History Never Tasted So Good! Our story begins in the 1930’s, back when this area was referred to as the ”Hojack Country.” The waterfront was bustling and alive with tourists visiting by the thousands, traveling  the Great Gorge Railway. The Lewiston Silo was home to the coal that fueled these steamers, and played an important role in housing the fuel that kept the waterfront alive. The waterfront became a hub of great activity, and locals set up stands to sell souvenirs and novelty items to visitors. Sadly, with the demise of the Great Gorge Railway in 1938, the construction of a superhighway to Toronto, and excessive pollution strangling the river, the waterfront activity declined. An ice jam destroyed the terminal and The Silo sat alone, baring witness to the piling of sand dredged from the river bottom and the quiet sounds of pigeons roosting in the top of the decaying superstructur

Fort Niagara State Park, NY

Fort Niagara State Park, New York, 1 Scott Ave. Youngstown, NY. 14174, (716)745-7273. if you know anything about Beth, you must know that she loves history, i just wonder why we don't build buildings like we did in the olden days? ones that will hold up, not fall down, with stand the test of time, decades and for years way down the line? i really had fun this day, just seeing the views, the men working there, it was fun to see the interactive side, listen to their stories, see the views and just check out this old fort. i wish i had gotten the lady names at the front desk area, she was just so kind, we told her what time we had, what we wanted out of our visit and she just told us what to see, where to have lunch, what not to miss, i love finding locals like that around. she was just a real peach, so kind. that is a saying, right??! an old friend immediately, loved her!! big thanks to her!! she was awesome!! have a great day. i appreciate your comments. see ya ag

Beth doesn't like huge big crowds, pass on that. it is amazing how close the homes are and how u have very little, if any grass or yard?? i love me some country living. don't think i could or would fit in here??! so fun to see all the gorgeous architecture, this is the time that they are allowed to work on their homes and have work trucks everywhere. normally it is very strict no cars or truck anywhere during the on season

Image
Lake Erie State Park, Brocton, NY. 14716 (716)792-9214, this state park had a gorgeous view of the water, such a gorgeous view. great for sunsets. they had recently had a lot of rain, so you could not ride or walk all of the grassy areas do to lots of standing water. it was a state park that we used as a central location to run to several spots, we stayed 2 evenings. that sunset show there was a view we did enjoy from the back of our campsite, so awesome to sit in your chair, enjoy the birds, critters, and the view. wowza was it awesome!!! i think that is the one i did use on my FB page too??! yes, i did, just checked. have a great day. i appreciate your comments. see ya again real soon. St. John's Episcopal Church, New York

Image
If I was making up a story or dreaming about a church, this would be very similar to the one I would create or write about, it is just so cute, I wonder what it looks like inside??! St. John's Episcopal Church, New York, I am unsure of the city??! I did try to google it, but no luck? ...a trip we took gosh way about near my birthday May 23 ish, 2018 we saw this beauty. I got a few shots from my truck seat. So pretty, I love springy moment. Enjoy! I would have never guessed that St. John would be such a popular name, but apparently in New York is a very popular church name??!  UPDATE: since writing this post I've gotten more info: 110 Chestnut St. Youngstown, NY. 14174, Gothic Revival architecture, " St. John's Episcopal Church is a historic Episcopal church located at Youngstown in Niagara County, New York. Image
Clear Creek State Park, Sigel, Pennsylvania. 38 Clear Creek Rd, Sigel PA. 15860, (814)752-2368, what i really did enjoy about this state park was the ease that it took to walk around... some state parks are just not laid out well. you have to take a truck or bike to get around. this state park was great for walking, biking or hiking... a chance to watch birds or critters, folks fishing, and so easy to go from your campsite to take a look around all their antiques, old building and just enjoy the peacefulness of the outdoors. enjoy! have a great day. i appreciate your comments. see ya again real soon. " The French began building on the site of Fort Niagara in 1679. The third building project on the site was the “French Castle” built in 1726-27. As you go up the stairs to the 2nd floor, on the

Bath County Recreational Campground, 7305 State Route 600, Warm Springs, VA 24484, They do have camping, no power or water. Dry camping as they call it in the camping world. So quiet there.
