This post in a bit of this and that of the NC area, figured I pull them all together, like we did when staying in this area, you were able to easily travel to and from...
& as I always say there are plenty of sights we didn't see, maybe you can add them to your travels ... we got 3 or 4 donuts, coffee and a breakfast sandwich to enjoy. They had lots of items to purchase, we were not liking the cost though. $$$ They were fun to see and take some pics of... LOL!!

This room was apart of this lodge, it was an Air BNB, amazing how little of small you need to live, who needs all that extra space, so much more to dust, and keep clean... 
perfect spot to take in the local must see spots, really enjoying the central location ...able to see so much ...enjoy the views, local treats and historical spots. Didn't realize that this was Flat Rock, instead of Hendersonville, NC ...but they are super close ...lots of must see spots. Check them out! 








Right on one of the main street in Hendersonville, NC they had this cutie, he was just asking for his picture to be taken, Loved it!! Hope you did enjoy this visit to Hendersonville. Glad you stopped in. Take Care.  Beth ( ;

"Bar U Ranch" , National Historic Site. Established in 1882, it was huge ranching operation  "even more info here." .  if you know anything about me, you will know I have always wanted to live on a farm, own a farm, have horses, cows, dogs, cats, garden, fields, quiet & peace the whole 9 or is it 10 yards.   Backbone Rock Tunnel, Shady Valley, Tennessee "spur ridge on Holston Mtn that abruptly ends at a bend in Beaverdam Creek. tunnel was drilled through rock in 1901 to allow railroad access between Shady Valley and Damascus, Virginia" Hey There, don't ya love it when you are driving along and find a neat spot? …this tunnel was a busier road, got to see it from both sides of the road ...very cool. Bass Pro Shop, "Memphis Pyramid", in Tennessee. We always enjoy visiting Brass Pro Shops around the USA. They are so always so creative, all different and interesting to see what they will be sharing. We are not fisher people. we just can appreciate the business. All sorts of games to play. Shopping. Lodging. Restaurants. In the brochure you can get at the front door this quote can be seen... "Ride the tallest freestanding elevator in America. Experience a ride to the top of the Pyramid in the 28-story glass elevator. Once you are at the top, stand on glass-floored observation decks that offer 360-degree views 300 feet above Memphis and the Mississippi River."
