Virginia Creeper Trail

HEY THERE! Hope you are well today. Let's enjoy views from our biking trip on the Virginia Creeper Trail. There are numerous spots to jump off your bike take a moment to breathe, time for a lunch break, take some pics, jump in the water or smell some wildflowers. This time there were so many little kids riding with their parents, usually it is teens and adults. Fun to see so many folks enjoying the day. The water was so chilly, the hubby was brave enough to take a walk through, NOT ME!

If you will notice I had to stop by the 40 sign ...each year for some reason I started the tradition to stand by the birthday number (how I came up with it? I have no clue, but little kids do, so why shouldn't we enjoy our new age, I am trying to deal with it, growing use to the BIG 40, I am working on it!!! I know it is not that big of an age ...but I am digesting lots over it all. LOL!) ...the last time I did this was way about in my 38th year. I sadly did make it to this state park for my 39th year of life. The hubby was joking with me, it is so tough to get a shot when there are so many riders buzzing by. I didn't wanna die by biker!!!

Check out these old views from past trips: "Oct 31, 2016""Sept. 17, 2015" & "Sept 14, 2015" (those dates are when I did post not when were did visit, just so you know. Maybe it will make you wanna make a planned trip, you will so love every second, making lots of memories, be sure to take lots of pictures!!)  So fun. Be Well & Be Blessed!!! Beth ( ;

Briery Creek Lake, Farmville, Virginia

Taking a break from our trips, to talk about a recent kayaking trip. We have had so much rain here in Virginia in the month of May. It has been so green. The funny thing is how the weather folks keep saying we are in a drought??! WHAT??! So on Monday May 9th, we took a day trip to "Briery Creek Lake", Farmville, VA. At this area there was a sign about "Trophy Largemouth Bass", so if you are fan, you might wanna check out. We are not fisherpeople, just love the kayaking experience. It was a gorgeous day! I was trying to get the picture of the osprey, the water was thinking otherwise, but I did ok... in the video below you will hear birdies, I did try to capture the osprey, but the silly bird stopped singing, it was such an interesting sound. chirp? tweet? Why does nature not working me with me, please?

Please enjoy this vlog of that day. Thanks, for stopping by, hope you enjoy the trip. Beth ( ;

Sculptures at Hershey Gardens

Such amazing sculptures there at "Hershey Gardens" ... let's check them out. As I say there are so many areas to walk around there at the gardens ...gorgeous trees to stand under if you are dealing with lots of sun. Great shades. Herb gardens, a perfect place for great visit no matter the season. So fun!! I think my favorite will be the butterfly girl ...she just looks so happy and free. 2nd fave is the girl smelling the rose. Thank you for stopping by. Hope you are well today. Take care. "Riverbend Campground, Hiawassee, GA", this was our 1st visit. Such a well cared for, gorgeous locations for camping and have a ton of fun... this is one of the best campgrounds we have ever stayed in ...Beth how can you say this you might ask? ...the bathrooms were well cared for, gorgeous views, pretty easy access to water for water exercise, kayaking, areas for group togetherness and locations to walk and just time to relax. Even close to many locations of MUST SEE SIGHTS, waterfalls, hiking and suchness. We were there for "Eggs on the Hiawassee" one of our Casita rallies. SO FUN!!

Please enjoy the vlog from that day. You can hear lots of bugs and birds. We just hopped into the waters behind our campsite and just rowed away. We have 2 other couples who did borrow our kayaks to enjoy these waters as well. So fun. I love going out on waters to enjoy the day and take some pics. There are duck families every where, but they didn't like it when you got close ...s…
